Day 1 Casablanca
Your Morocco Tour will begin when you arrival in Casablanca, the economic capital of Morocco, you will be met by your personal driver and transferred to your Casablanca hotel, where you will check in and relax. Depending on your arrival time, you will have a visit to the Hassan II, one of the world's biggest mosques. Your evening meal will be served in the hotel.
Day 2 Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, included, your group will leave by van towards Fes which will be your second stop for this unique Morocco tour. On route, we will stop to do a short day tour of Rabat, the capital city and residence of the King. Here you will eat lunch and have a time to enjoy this beautiful coastal city, including the Rabat medina, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Oudaya Gate, and the Hassan Tower.
You will then head on to Meknes and visit Moulay Ismail stables, granaries and House of Water, Bab el Mansour, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. In the evening you will finish your trip by arriving in Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco. You will enhance your connection to Fes by staying in a Fes riad in the Medina of Fes. Fes riads are restored mini-palaces of wealthy aristocrats of yesteryear.
Day 3 Fes
After breakfast you will begin one of your first Morocco guided tours focusing on the Fes medina, one of the world's largest walled in cities. You will explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. A visit to the King's Palace, the tanneries, and the pottery are just a few places we will experience. For lunch you will eat in a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. After lunch you will complete the tour and return to your riad in Fes to marvel at its wonder and decor. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.
Day 4 Fes Free Day
This will be a free day to relax and do some extra exploring of Fes and the souks (local markets.) Your evening meal will be served in your riad in Fes.
Day 5 Marrakech (full day drive)
After an early breakfast, the group will depart for Marrakech. The beautiful drive will take you up into the Middle Atlas Mountains and along the base of the High Atlas Mountains. Once in Marrakech, you will check into your Marrakech riad and then head off to the Djemaa el-Fna, the center square of the medina.
The famous Djemaa el-Fna, is one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an adjacent café provides a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Dinner will be served in your riad in Marrakech. Here your connection to life in a riad in Marrakech will begin.
Day 6 Marrakech
Day 6 of your Morocco tour will begin after breakfast, you will have a guided tour of Marrakech, the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with the tour on to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and another trip to the the famous Djemaa el-Fna. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (market) lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, intricately woven Berber carpets and many other art objects of Morocco. Dinner will be served in a local restaurant.
Day 7 Marrakech & Casablanca
Your last day of travel will take you back to Casablanca. You can spend as much time in Marrakech as you would like before heading off to Casablanca for your last night. Perhaps a dinner in Rick's Café would be something you would enjoy.
Day 8 Casablanca
After breakfast, your tour to Morocco will conclude with your hearts are full of great memories as you are transferred to the airport for departure.
