An extraordinary spot located within the walls of the medieval city of Fez, Riad Al Kantara is an enchated refuge in the heart of a wooded area consisting of 5 riads of different periods and architectural styles that have been restored with patience and passion to unite modern comfort and the splendours of the past in an exquisite alchemy.
The garden has a vast swimming pool which is supplied with pure water from a natural well and surrounded by beautiful greenery. There are many terraces with fountains. In these areas you can relax and listen to the soothing sounds of birds singing.
At nightfall the delicate light breeze from the Atlas mountains highlights the mixed fragrances of musk, jasmine and honeysuckle which heighten your awareness to this magical ambience.
In the vein of Italian theatre, the esplanades located at various levels are very well adapted to all types of events, whether cultural, artistic or just for personal amusement.
Riad Alkantara also has its lounge bar and smoking area on a shaded terrace. Discover our restaurant where we serve cuisine inspired from all over the world. Traditional Moroccan cuisine is served in the guest dining room. A boutique offers traditional Moroccan clothes and decorative items, there is also an exposition area and even spaces available for special workshops.

We stayed three days in this riad mid July. Everything was delightful. The riad is an early 20th century restored with traditional techniques with modern taste and sense of Moroccan influence. Adjacent riads from the 19th and 18th century are under restoration (if you canmeet the owner, you might be lucky enough to get a private visit to discover all the restoration techniques!) Suites are all different with all the modern comfort you can expect (A/C, wireless phones, stereo device, WIFI, huge bathtub, etc.). We had the "Amants de grenade" room wich is one of the smallest but still very large. The garden is pretty big for a riad a gives the feeling to be in the countryside rather than in town. The swimming pool, chlorine free, is very large. You can have diner at the hotel near the pool, we had the chance to be alone the first night, it was like being in our own riad! The service is professional but not like in 5 stars big hotels I usually stay at, where you really have to stay long to feel being someone rather than just a client. Here the service is more like family style but in the same time very discrete when it has to be and attentive. Highly recommended for 2/3 nights or more!
A expérimenter ABSOLUMENT!!!
Magique, quand revient-on?
