Overview

Riad Monika de Saint Ay is located in an exciting part of the medina of Marrakech. The riad has been restored using ancient Moroccan architectural methods to revive the luster and life of this palace to its former glory of yesteryear. It will welcome you in the spirit of refinement and elegance.

This small palace is ideally located in close proximity to the Ben Youssef Madrasa and to the Museum of Marrakech. This specific area of the Marrakech Median and this riad itself display a unique combination of genres and eras.  For example, the riad is a mix of a Moorish palace, rare marbles, and fine French furniture from the 18th and 19th century. It embodies a love story between a woman and the magic of the east - a journey beyond time.

Each room and its adjoining bathroom are personalized and unique. Many of the amenities include: Air conditioning, TV, safe, private bath for each room, and two rooms include a fireplace. Other features in our riad include marble and tadelakt decore, a solarium, a private terrace, a gym, a massage room, manicure and pedicure services, a summer room, and a rooftop tent. The pool measures 8.00 X 3.10 meters.

7Mai 2009.

Riad Monika. I stayed at this sumptuous Riad at the beginning ofF February, in the off-seasontime and i was totally blown away by the whole experience. the rose(Warda) suite is simply stunning- the architecture and decor of the room were top-class and enchanting. Everything you needed was in the room and thoughtful little touches like fresh fruits § exquisite flowers, bottled water, elegant bathrobes and a ready-to-ligut open fire made it feel like your own hideway sanctuary. Everywhere i went i found yet more luxury in this lovely Riad- the sunloungers on the roof terrace were very high quality, the plunge pool was crystal clear and set in beautiful surroundings, you sunk into the deep welcoming sofa cushions in the various tented daybed areas and enjoyed a drink and snacks whilst warming yourself in front of a roaring fire in the cosy lounge. breakfast was a feast which set you up for the day and the service was firsst class. this is a signatureRiad that i cannot recommend highly enough ! Monika herself was so welcoming, her staff were impeccable in their comportment- almost anticipating your requirements before you asked, but they were unobtrusive and it was the most peaceful haven of luxury that you could asked for. i will definitely stay there again and anyone who has the opportunity to stay in the heart of old Marrakech should make a bee-line for this wonderful Riad.

We were a bit anxious about travelling to Marrakech with a 1 year old. But this has to have been one of our best family holidays. Staff here were great with our son and made us feel very welcome. We had a room overlooking the beatiful courtyard so we could put him to sleep and then eat and relax outside in the courtyard. The food here was excellent - the best Morrocan food I have had! Service was discreet but very friendly and efficiently run by the Morrocan manager. They were also very cool about me using their kitchen to prepare food for baby and we also got them to make him food on some occasions. We initially chose this riad for the heated pool which was essential in april but it turned out to offer a lot more than this. All in all a wonderful trip finland london 09/05/2009
