This beautiful old house, moments from Djmna Fna and the Palaces, Bahia and Badii, was found and claimed in May 2002, by it's Australian owner, Edwina. After almost five years of renovations, the house is now chic, the accommodation sumptuous with stunning, subtle detail, truly superb. The four sunny, en-suite bedrooms all have wonderful tiles by the artisans of Tetouan, moody hued tadelakt walls, ceilings as if marzipan, an ancient Berber door headboard, deep sills with fresh flowers.

The bathrooms inspired by Philipp Stark. Two salons, opening off the courtyard, one richly canopied and intimate, the other open to the courtyard with a papyus filled pond creeping between the pink marble pillars, a fireplace and to one end, a huge marble topped table for dining by night and the cooking class prep table, by day. The hammam and spa room is nearby, the perfumed oils, waft. The flower filled roof top terrace with sunbeds, Berber tent and outdoor shower, is a great place for breakfast .. to stay and loll.

There is a kitchen here, serving tapas and drinks. Cooking classes are also offerred in a Berber village, far off the tourist trail, an hour or so away by car. Your mule awaits, there's a river to cross and a mountainside to ride, the ladies of the muleteer's family are waiting, the kitchen oven-fires, are lit. Day trips and much longer, fabulous celebrations and shopping extravaganzas to hidden places holding hearts' desires are all part of this very special place to come and stay, truly a "little piece of heaven"..
