Overview

Finally, a romantic riad true to its authenticity, was born in December 2007.  Everything is here: ancient doors - zelliges - tadlakt - forged irons ... nothing is missing.  This lovely Riad has been renovated and decorated with great taste and refinement by the owners Richard and Serge.

Thousand and One Nights, Indian Nights, Wish East Sultane and Bab Sahara are names referring to the feature and style of each suite.   In the lobby, you can relax before a cozy fireplace relaxing to the music of your choice.

Unique in Marrakech, Riad Armelle's lovely terrace is decorated with it's lovely garden, where palm trees mingle, bougainvillea, hibiscus and other exotic plants wait for your admiration while sipping a cup of mint tea.

If you wish, our in-house chef will introduce you to his culinary secrets with subtle flavors of Morocco.

Ideally situated 150m from the walls, easy access to parking.

Riad Armelle's staff takes great pride caring for its guests where you can expect a warm and friendly welcome.

A must see and a must stay.

Great holiday, Even better Riad.

From the Riad Guestbook

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Riad Armelle. First time in Marrakech but we knew what to expect from the city itself, however the Raid surpassed our expectations. From the friendly helpful staff, Mohammed, Samill and the French owners to the traditional Moroccan cuisine. This Riad is extremely well presented, Clean and Comfortable.

If you can, go to the Atlas mountains. If you do ask Mohammed to introduce you to Ali the tour guide. His tour was the highlight of our trip. He will take you to a traditional Burba house where you will have Mint Tea with the Chief of the house, and see how they live.

Great holiday, Even better Riad.

Thoroughly recommend it to friends and family.

From the Riad Guestbook

Having had a terrible year in 2007, we wanted a relaxing holiday, winter sunshine, but some sights to see - we are not ones to sit round the pool for days on end.

Our local travel agent suggested we try Marrakesh and recommended some hotels. However, I found Riad Armelle on Lastminute.com and thought it fitted the bill. We hate large hotels and never book anywhere with kids' pools or clubs.

Riad Armelle was like a home from home. We felt completely at ease to come and go as we pleased and to use the riad's facilities as we wished. We spent our late afternoons/early evenings on the roof terrace relaxing after out earlier sightseeing.

The riad has been renovated with taste and style, but with a keen sensitivity to Moroccan tradition.

Our room (1001 and 1) was unlike any other we have seen or stayed in. (See the picture on the website). We were delighted to have a comfortable bed, (and pillows!) fresh bed linen and fluffy towels. Our room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our six night stay. Like other commentators, we were welcomed warmly by Armelle and Serge. We tried a few local restaurants, but Samir's lovingly prepared meals - one evening at very short notice - made it unnecessary to venture from the riad.

Our thanks also to Samir for making our breakfast at 5 am on the morning of departure.

We really could not fault Riad Armelle at all and would thoroughly recommend it to friends and family.

Un souvenir inoubliable

From the Riad Guestbook

From the Riad Guestbook

From the Riad Guestbook

Merci Riad Armelle!

From the Riad Guestbook

The Riad Armelle is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. Wanting to experience something more authentic than a chain hotel, we looked for riads and for the first time I was guided by all the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. I'm so glad I did!

Everything about this riad was exquisite - the decor, not just of our room (1001 Nights, with an open shower) but the whole riad. Downstairs, a small refreshing pool and lounge area to read and listen to the great selection of music, or the terrace upstairs, to relax with a cold drink and soak up the sounds of Marrakech. It is perfectly located, an easy 15 minute walk to Jemna el Fna and 10 to the colourful Jardin Majorelle (a must). But what really made this the most memorable of holidays was everyone at the Riad Armelle. Serge and his wife are just lovely, and we really enjoyed chatting with them. Mohammed is very friendly and will arrange anything for you, while Samir is a fantastic cook and lovely person. You must have at least one meal at the Riad made by Samir. We had dinner on our first night, a colourful salad, chicken tajine with apricot and walnut, and an orange and pear dessert.

We loved Marrakech, and I know I'll come back, if only to stay at this oasis again. Merci Riad Armelle!

Absolutely wonderful Riad

By .... | Solo Traveler

From the Riad Guestbook

What an absolutely wonderful Riad. Samir, the chef, is brilliant and it's just like staying in your own palace. The standard of cleanliness in the Riad was exceptional. Rooms to die for. Beautiful in every way. An oasis in the middle of the medina.

The sun terrace is amazing with a wonderful shaded area when you want to escape the direct heat of the sun.

A couple of other rooms taken up when I was there (only four anyway) but I hardly saw the other guests. Breakfast was laid at freshly at any time I wanted it. The table decorations and service all a part of the splendour of the RIad.

I'm a single traveller but couldn't fail to see how this is the perfect place for romance! Check out the rooms and see for yourself.

We really enjoyed our stay

By Chris & Liz

From the Riad Guestbook

We were met by Mohammed when we arrived at the airport and instantly made to feel welcome. The Riad only has five rooms - every one is different - plus a roof top terrace to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The staff led by Mohammed were very friendly and accommodating. We found the riad ideally situated between the medina and the new town. If you decide to get away from the hustle and bustle and have an evening meal made by Samir you won't be disappointed. We really enjoyed our stay and when we come back to Marrakech will look to stay at Riad Armelle again. Chris & Liz

Plongé dans un autre monde !

From the Riad Guestbook

Riad Armelle was amazing

By ....

From the Riad Guestbook

Riad Armelle was amazing, we had booked to visit Riad Kniza in the summer and had to cancel, Riad Armelle was amazing, the homely feel, the very relaxing atmosphere, the beautiful meals cooked by Samir and the attention given by Mohameed all added up to a memorable experiance. We loved that fact there were no TVs, room service or telephones, it had a quiete relaxing feel, we visted another Riad while in Marrakesh which was 5 star, it was lovely but felt like a hotel. Armelle felt like a private home with beautiful touches, the decor is very beautiful, we would certainly recommend this little gem we found, if you like TVs, room service and telepnoes this is not the one for you, the only thing it was lacking was bathrobes, apart from that we could not fault it. We arrived at 9.30 in the morning to mint tea and cakes and our room was ready for us. Our only failing was we can not speak french, so to talk to Samir was alot of smiling and pointing, thank goodness Mohameed was on hand to help us out. It also has a beautiful roof terrace, we would certainly stay here again if we revisited Marrakesh.
