Located in the heart of the medina of Essaouira, Ryad Watier is an old school renovated by an architect and now offers a very comfortable guest house while maintaining the traditional characteristics of Morocco. It consists of 10 spacious rooms, airy and bright, each with a unique setting. 4 of these suites have a fireplace. The Ryad stands on 4 levels, and the top has two terraces with views over the sea, where breakfast is served. On the ground floor, a lounge / library and a large lounge / dining room open onto the patio and garden, there is also a kitchen where Saadia, our cook, makes delicious soups and recipes. 2 roof terraces with sea views Non-traditional hammam (mixed with steam generator) Massage room Large library (over 2,000 books in French and English) Ability for a ride at sea and fishing with our boat Guide on request TV in lounge on the ground floor 2 fountains in patios planted Additional charges: Extra bed (adults) 25 euros. Riad de la Mer is a spacious 18th century Jewish merchant's house situated in the oldest part of the Medina known as the Kasbah. We recently restored this riad and added modern facilities but have preserved its original and rich character. Our riad has one of the best locations in Essaouira: the terrace provides a stunning panoramic view of the port, sea, and of the entire bay, and the spacious environment offers a great sense of tranquility even though we are just a few steps away from the heart of the town, Place Moulay Hassan. This famous square is full of bustling cafes and restaurants, banks, boutiques, and craft shops.The rooms are well lit and airy. The first two floors, with their high ceilings, are decorated with items from different periods of history; chandeliers, antique beds, and beautiful textiles. The third floor has a different style, its modern white décor affording a sense of simplicity. Here, and on the terrace, you immediately connect with the sounds of the ocean and seagulls passing by. This third floor also has two seperate rooms; a mini-apartment and a simple bedroom.  The mini-apartment comprises a salon, double bedroom and an ensuite shower/wc and is called 'lower terrace - studio- double.  Opposite this, on the same floor, is a simple bedroom with separate shower room.  Each room on this floor can be rented separately, though if taken together by a party of 3, the price is a bit less.The accommodation arrangements are quite flexible: the house can be rented in its entirety - it sleeps 10 - or as individual apartments by floor.
